Peggy Seipp-Roy, currently residing in Carlsbad, CA with her family, began her training in Minneapolis and danced professionally with Minnesota Dance Theatre, James Sewell Ballet and TU Dance. In addition to her training at Minnesota Dance Theatre, Peggy attended the School of American Ballet and the Royal Winnipeg Ballet on scholarship. Her teaching career spans more than 20 years, including every level from children’s creative movement classes to training accomplished professionals. She has taught at dance schools such as Minnesota Dance Theater’s Dance Institute and the Saint Paul Conservatory for the Performing Artists, and as adjunct faculty of the University of Minnesota Dance Department. She has led professional company classes at Minnesota Dance Theatre, James Sewell Ballet, TU Dance and the tour Broadway productions of Lion King and Chicago. Peggy’s open advanced/professional class at the Dance Institute was a favorite for touring company dancers and local professional dancers in Minneapolis. While living in Portland, she had the opportunity to blog for White Bird Dance, and taught at Northwest Dance Project. She is a recipient of a McKnight Fellowship for Dancers, awarded to dancers for excellence over time in their field. With a degree in Education for the University of St. Thomas and her vast experience as a professional dancer and teaching artist, Peggy brings an abundance of knowledge and wisdom to dancers of any level.
